HOW MR. BRANCH GOT A NEW NAME was originally written as a chapel program for Agape Christian School in Riverside, Calfiornia. I read a devotional about a violin maker shaping a beautiful violin from a a simple piece of wood. I decided the message must be shared with children as well as adults and wrote HOW MR. BRANCH GOT A NEW NAME. The story was presented as a readers' theater program with "Narrator," "Shepherdess," and "Branch" reading their individual parts. The story was well received, and I was encouraged to publish it as a children's book so it could touch the lives of many children and adults.
